Mid Century Gouache Comic

Entitled Obstructionism, this mid 20th century gouache on paper comic illustration of two boys and a pending disaster is by San Francisco artist Clyde Follett Seavey (1904-1991). Seavey studied at UC Berkeley and California College of Arts & Crafts. He was a commercial artist for magazines such as The American Weekly. He was also a member of the Artists Club, Artists & Art Directors Club, and Advertising Club all in San Francisco and had many shows in San Francisco during the 1960s.

Signed lower right. Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a contemporary wood frame with cream and brown distressed finish using an archival double mat behind conservation clear glass.
