Wiveca Rubinow Entitled
Off the Coast of Mendocino this Mid Century pen and ink seascape scene on paper is by Swedish-California artist Wiveca Rubinow (1920-1994). Rubinow was born in Stockholm, Sweden and studied art in Paris under Henri Matisse as a young adult prior to immigrating to Northern California where she showed her works at galleries in Calistoga and Mendocino.

Signed 'Vico' in the lower right. Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a restored vintage wood frame with black finish and copper detailing using archival matting behind conservation clear glass.
