This circa 1970s graphite on paper abstract with highly intricate linework is by East Coast painter, printmaker, and designer Jane Mitchell (1915-1988). Mitchell studied Art History and Fine Art at Wheaton College and University of Iowa. She lived and worked in Ibiza, Spain during the 1950s-60s and was influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. Mitchell exhibited throughout the U.S. and Spain during her lifetime.

Signed lower right. Good vintage condition with minor age toning. Framed in a restored vintage wood frame with a grey and silver finish with a natural linen inset using warm white archival matting behind conservation clear glass.
