This mid to late 20th century oil and photo transfer abstracted standing figure entitled Dress Shop Window, is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa.

Signed and titled on the back. Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a restored vintage wide-faced wood frame with a cream finish and muted silver-gold lip using archival matting and clear spacers behind conservation clear glass.
