Edition 96/180. Unsigned, titled on the back in pencil. Framed in a restored vintage mid-century wood frame with a gray wash finish and metallic lip with gold highlights using 8-ply archival matting behind conservation clear glass. Good vintage condition.

Georges Braque was a French painter, collagist, printmaker and sculptor. He is notable for his association with the fauvist movement from 1905, and his major contribution to the development of cubism. Braque worked closely alongside Pablo Picasso between 1908 and 1912, creating the language of cubist painting, which marked a massive historical change in the practice of painting and artmaking that rippled through the rest of the 20th century. 

His work is held by some of the world’s leading institutions in fine art such as the Guggenheim Museum (NYC), Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC), the Museum of Modern Art (NYC), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA), the Norton Simon Museum (Pasadena, CA), Musee d'Orsay (Paris), Louvre Museum (Paris), as well as the Tate Gallery in London.
