This late 20th century graphite on paper figure pair entitled Study is by Los Angeles artist, violin prodigy, and actor Schuyler Standish (1927-2010). As a child actor, Standish had roles in several Hollywood films during the early 1940s. During WWII, Standish entertained troops during WWII in Bobby Byrne's band. He was an art teacher in Los Angeles for thirty years and exhibited at the Falk-Raboff Gallery in L.A (1954), LACMA (1959), and the Riverside Art Museum (2010).

Signed and titled at the bottom. Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a contemporary wood frame with a black finish and herringbone patterned face using 8-ply archival matting with a black trim behind conservation clear glass.
