Howard Albert

Entitled Captain of the Tennis Team Taking the Sun in "Pioneer Court" this 1968 figurative woodcut on mulberry paper is by Chicago artist, musician and composer Howard Albert (1911-2004). Albert studied at the Chicago Art Institute and with Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17 in New York. He was a master printmaker and the founder of the Pauper's Press.
