Seymour Tubis

This 20th century papier collé on board, is by Santa Fe artist Seymour Tubis (1919-1993). Tubis studied at the Art Students League with Hans Hofmann (1946-1949). He exhibited in Paris in 1950 and won praise from Georges Braque. He was Chair of the Fine Art Department at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe (1963-1980).

26.5"x17.5" framed, 24"x15" unframed 

Signed and dated on the lower right. Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a restored vintage wood frame with a sanded and blue wash finish using archival clear spacers behind conservation clear glass.
