This early 20th century ink on paper portrait drawing of a pensive young woman is by San Francisco artist Clyde Follett Seavey (1904-1991). Seavey studied at UC Berkeley and California College of Arts & Crafts. He was a commercial artist for magazines such as The American Weekly. He was also a member of the Artists Club, Artists & Art Directors Club, and Advertising Club all in San Francisco and had many shows in San Francisco during the 1960s.

Signed lower left. Framed in a restored vintage wood frame with open grain center and green-gold finish using museum-style archival matting with a weighted bottom behind conservation clear glass. Excellent vintage condition.
