This 20th century black and white photograph on paper is by 1940-70s California photographer, Floyd H. Sherry (1905-1992). His work is in the permanent collection of the Seattle Museum of Art and he was listed in the 1943 American Annual of Photography. Sherry was an active member of the Sierra Camera Club of Sacramento, California. He worked in the modernist black and white photography traditions of the mid 20th Century. Sherry was born in Minnesota and died in Sacramento, CA. A true “lost artist”, very little more is known about his life and work.

Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a contemporary wood frame with a black ash finish using 8-ply black mat behind conservation glass.
