Helen Sewell Rennie

This 1930-50s ink wash abstracted figure on flesh-colored paper is by Washington D.C. artist Helen Rennie (1906-1989). Rennie was a WPA artist. She exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Arts, the Corcoran Gallery Biennials, the Baltimore Museum, Phillips Memorial Gallery and at MoMA.

Good vintage condition. Paper is very delicate. Framed in a restored vintage wood frame with a dark natural finish using archival matting behind conservation clear glass.
