Walter Gandy
This monochromatic 1924 graphite Oxford scene is by Walter Gandy. Walter Gandy was an English artist in the late 1800s and early 1900s. These intimate pencil drawings were mostly made of the noted architectural features and street scenes of Oxford, England. Gandy is known to have been commissioned for artwork by the Royal Doulton Company (makers of fine English china and stoneware) and various postcard companies.
