Santos Rene Irizarry
This 1970 abstract ink drawing entitled Abstraction is by Puerto Rican Modernist artist Santos Rene Irizarry (1934-1997). He studied art at the University of Puerto Rico with Carlos Marichal, the Galeria Campeche with Domingo Garcia in San Juan and the National School of Plastic Arts Academy of San Carlos in Mexico with Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo and Jose Clemente Orozco.

Signed, dated and titled at the bottom. Good vintage condition, rippling and some age toning. Framed in a contemporary wood frame with open grain edges and black finish using hand-cut white spacers with a floated mat behind conservation clear glass.
