Jane Mitchell
This 1970s monotype on paper abstract is by East Coast painter, printmaker, and designer Jane Mitchell (1915-1988). Mitchell studied Art History and Fine Art at Wheaton College and University of Iowa. She lived and worked in Ibiza, Spain during the 1950s-60s and was influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. Mitchell exhibited throughout the U.S. and Spain during her lifetime.

Estate stamped on the back. Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a contemporary wood frame with a textured black finish using clear spacers and archival matting behind conservation clear glass.
