Wiveca Rubinow
This mid 20th century ink wash on paper seascape drawing is by Swedish-California artist Wiveca Rubinow (1920-1994). Rubinow was born in Stockholm, Sweden and studied art in Paris under Henri Matisse as a young adult prior to immigrating to Northern California where she showed her works at galleries in Calistoga and Mendocino.

Signed lower right. Framed in a contemporary wood frame in a gold finish with black sides using white archival matting behind conservation clear glass. Excellent vintage condition.
