John Whitworth Robson

This 1905-09 charcoal and pastel on paper seated Parisian woman drawing is by American artist John Whitworth Robson (1881-1946). After graduating from the Yale School of Art, Robson lived as an American artist in Paris from 1905-1909. He was a member of the American Art Association of Paris and exhibited at the Salon of the highly esteemed Societe des Artistes Francais alongside Edgar Degas and Toulouse Lautrec.

Excellent vintage condition. Signed in the image area in the lower right. Framed in a contemporary glossy walnut wood frame using archival matting behind conservation clear glass.
