This circa 1947 graphite on paper male portrait drawing is by Monterey/Carmel artist of Russian descent, Gerald Wasserman (1920-2011). Wasserman studied at the Chicago Art Institute and was a long time member and exhibitor at the Carmel Art Association. He exhibited, lived, and traveled extensively throughout Europe. This piece was produced on an artist trip to Mexico.
