This 1970s monotype on paper of three abstracted figures is by East Coast painter, printmaker, and designer Jane Mitchell (1915-1988). Mitchell studied Art History and Fine Art at Wheaton College and University of Iowa. She lived and worked in Ibiza, Spain during the 1950s-60s and was influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. Mitchell exhibited throughout the U.S. and Spain during her lifetime.
