Michael di Cosola
This August 23, 1990 graphite and colored pencil abstract drawing is by Abstract Surrealist San Francisco artist Michael di Cosola (1929-2010). Di Cosola studied at the Chicago Art Institute before moving to the Bay Area to study at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He had a studio in North Beach during the height of the neighborhood's art scene and exhibited at several Bay Area art galleries in the 1960s. Di Cosola is known for psychedelic, Surrealist portraiture and abstractions.

Signed and dated in the image area on the lower right. Framed in a vintage wood frame with a metallic gold painted finish using clear spacers floating behind conservation clear glass. Excellent vintage condition.
