Entitled The Smith River Abstraction, this 2020 pencil, chalk and oil on paper abstract of a river is by contemporary Mendocino/Bay Area artist, Gaétan Caron (b. 1964), co-founder of Lost Art Salon in San Francisco. Caron's work is inspired by his surroundings and life in the mountains of inland Mendocino County, Northern California.
