Howard Albert

Entitled Eye Boxes, this 1969 woodcut on paper is by Chicago artist, musician and composer Howard Albert (1911-2004). Albert studied at the Chicago Art Institute and with Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17 in New York. He was a master printmaker and the founder of the Pauper's Press.

Signed, dated and titled at the bottom. Framed in a contemporary wood frame with an oiled walnut finish using archival matting and spacers behind conservation clear glass. Excellent vintage condition.
