Ethel Weiner Guttman (1916-1990) was a Mid Century New York & Bay Area artist. Guttman studied at the National Academy of Art in NY in the 1930s with Zero Mostel, where she met future husband, artist Martin Snipper (1914-2008). The couple went on to exhibit together, at the E. Crocker Art Gallery in Sacramento and the San Francisco Museum of Art, until their divorce in 1950. Guttman taught art in San Francisco.
